Unnecessary interferences of APCC (I) leaders put Dima Hasao DCC (I) in bad shape

Unnecessary interferences of so called APCC(I) leaders and indifferent attitude of APCC (I) towards Dima Hasao DCC(I) caused serious concern among the congress leaders and well wishers, alleged the conscious citizens of Dima Hasao.

With the entry of Sri Samarjit Haflongbar as Dima Hasao DCC(I) president by side-lining Sri G. C. Langthasa, who is considered to be the most popular and senior most Congress man in the district, all the differences surfaced among the congressmen in the district. Sri Langthasa still is the undisputed and unmatched leader of the people of the Dima Hasao district, despite his old age or whatsoever. Some say, though he was denied the ministry, Sri Langthasa has been maintaining good relation with the top State Congress (I) leaders as well as the leaders of AICC. Sri Langthasa who has completed fifty years as Congress man, has also been maintaining very good relation with the Chief Minister of Assam Sri Tarun Gogoi and MP, B. S Engti, a highly placed source claimed. Perhaps, for this reason, Sri Samajit Haflongbar was replaced by Sri Nolendra Karigapsa, who is known to be close associate of G. C. Langthasa.

Another point, which compounded the resentment among the senior and sincere congressmen of the district was when some elected members of ASDC and BJP, except one or two joined the Congress by not following the party norms just after the starting of NIA and CBI enquiry into the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council. There has been allegation, that some newly joined leaders in connivance with two so called APCC leaders Sri Y. L. Karna and Sri Rana Khan have been trying their best to suppress the age-old frontline leaders through some mischievous activities. Some other congressmen alleged that they did not hesitate to issue order to the Chief Executive Member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council to drop Chairman and Executive Member. They argued how these party leaders can issue any order to a CEM of an Autonomous Council? They said these leaders instead of brining unity among the party men creating disunity and bitterness. Therefore they demanded these two leaders should be replaced immediately so that the congress party could be strengthened and united as it were earlier in Dima Hasao.
