Come November 14. Intandem is all set to host the Assam Mahotsav for the sixth consecutive year at the JDSA grounds here from in Jorhat.
The event event will be inaugurated with the Children’s Day. National Exceptional Child Excellency award winner Farheen Ahmed of Sivasagar will open the event.
Farheen is the youngest child to appear for the Java Sun Language examination. At present she is being coached by an IIT professor at Guwahati.
Intandam officials say almost every day there would be cultural evenings, and on November 17 three-year old child artiste Asthajitananda Bordoloi will perform the gathering.
Another focus will be feature in the cultural section will be the fashion show by senior citizens to be presented by Dishoi Valley Lions Club (Jorhat).
Also a food mela serving ethnic cuisines and the display of traditional products by local artisans along with traditional items of other States will be there.
Besides, self-help groups and micro enterprises will make it their platform to market their products.
November 25 is being kept for the Zee TV singing contest participant Joy Chakravarty. He will will perform at the festival. Motorcycle stunts by local lad Basab Neog will be shown on November 21.
