The Chief Executive Member of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council Shri. Debo jeet Thaosen inaugurated the New Dairy Plant building under Rural Dairy Creamery scheme for Dairy Development at Umrangso on Saturday in the presence of the DHAC Deputy Chairman Madhu Joishi,Executive Member i/c Vety Department Shri.Prakanta Warisa and MAC Shri.Tushar Kanti Deb. The programme was also attended by many Departmental officials as well as the general public. The Chief guest and CEM Debojeet Thaosen addressing the gathering said that it gives immense pleasure to see the completion of any p rojects since it is a sign of development.
The new Dairy Plant will produce milk products at a reasonable price.As heard from the Assistant Dairy Development Officer Nipen Das the construction took 2 years to complete the project with the active support of the DHAC in spite of limited funds. Valuable speeches were also heard from the EMi/c Vety Dept. Shri Prakanta Warisa who says more efforts and steps to be takenin the coming days to increase production. During the programme mention were also made for expanding the Creamery Plant and for intensive cattle development projects. During the programme a memorandum was also submitted by the Dima Hasao Milk Producers Cooperative Society Umrangso.
