Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Tuesday is set to seek Rs 16,000 crore
as annual plan outlay for 2013-14 from the Centre. The plan size
would be fixed at a meeting between Gogoi and Deputy Chairman of the
Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia in New Delhi. But the plan
panel is likely to hike 10 per cent allocation for the next year. The
plan allocation of the state in the last financial year was Rs 10,500
crore and like in the previous years, the State Government failed to
utilize the funds. Gogoi is on a three days visit to the capital.
