Despite stiff protest even in the form of week-long bandh, high turn out was recorded in the first phase polling for Rabha Hasong autonomous body in parts of Kamrup and Goalpara districts on Wednesday. Polling began at 7 in the morning in 6 constituency in Kamrup along with 7 constituencies in Goalpara districts where voters were seen in lonp queue till 3 in the afternoon. The polling passed off peacefully as the non Rabha organizations has reduced the 14 days bandh. The second phase of polling is slated for Saturday.
