Operation against ULFA, NDFB, KLO

Security forces are spreading tentacles against ULFA(I), NDFB-S and KLO apprehending subversive activities in the run up to the Republic Day celebrations.

During his visit to Chirang district on Tuesday, DGP Khagen Sarma said that the combing operations have been intensified against the militant outfits operating in the state.

Sarma held talks with top ranked police officials from Kokrajhar and Chirang district to take stock of the BTAD law and order situation where NDFB-S killed 8 innocent people in four different attacks within a period of 24 hours.

The Centre has agreed to rush additional security forces to contain the law and order situation in BTAD.
