Kokrajhar: Football tournament to kick off from Aug 31

Preparations are get underway to host the first ever United Jilimili Prizemoney Trophy -2018 at Magurmari Jilimili Playground in Kokrajhar district, scheduled to be kicked off from August 31.

Social activists Chanendra Goyary and Siklal Narzary cut the ribbon to inaugurate the office of the organising committee on Friday. He said that the scheduled football trophy will be bringing sporting environment in the area. 

An organising committee was formed with Dipak Kumar Rabha as president and Charan Singh Koch as secretary along with 21 executive members to conduct the football trophy in a smooth. 

At-least 26 teams have been confirmed to participate the football tournament from different registered football clubs so far. The championship team would be awarded a trophy and cash Rs. 20,000 while runners up team would be awarded trophy and cash Rs. 15,000 respectively. 

Goyary has appreciated the organising committee for initiating sports events in the area. 

Among others, retired principal Indramahan Koch, social activists Manindra Narzary, Bikendra Laifanghary, village headman Rahendra Koch, Dhiren Brahma were prominent attendees on the occasion.
