Repolling underway in Jorhat

Amid tight security repolling is going on in five booths in Jorhat Lok Sabha constituency on Thursday.

The repolling began at 7 in the morning where the voters are waiting to exercise their franchise from morning.

All these booths fall under Jorhat Lok Sabha constituency where EVM refused to function properly on Monday.

The repolling is underway at 38 Sensuwa LP School under Jorhat Assembly segment, 5 Pukhuria LP School under Mariani assembly segment, 84 Baharbari LP School under Sonari Assembly segment and 61 Khoragarh LP School under Amguri assembly segment.

Repolling was ordered after the authorities were convinced of EVM malfunctioning. It will end at 5 in the afternoon.
