PM casts vote in Dispur

In his last visit as prime minister, Dr Manmohan Singh has exercised his franchise in Dispur in the third and final phase of Lok Sabha polls on Thursday.

Dr Singh, who represents the state in the Rajya Sabha casted his vote at 12-30 at the Dispur Govt HS School.

During his one and a half hour long visit to his second home state, he and his wife Gurusharan Kaur landed at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport at 11-45 in the morning.

Then he left for Khanapara by a helicopter to be received by chief minister Tarun Gogoi and APCC president Bhubneswar Kalita.

After talking to media just for two minutes, he left fir New Delhi.
