EC orders repolling in Bornijora

The Election Commission will conduct repolling in Bornijora polling booth after it confirmed vote rigging on Thursday.

Official sources in Guwahati said that repolling would take place from 7 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon in the booth under the Jalukbari assembly segment.

The commission ordered repolling after the chief election officer apprised it of rigging by a local VDP member who pressed the EVM buttons on behalf of a few voters in full view of the presiding and polling officers.

BJP and AGP separately demanded repolling in the booth alleging massive rigging on Thursday.
