World environment day observed

The World environment day was observed with planting of suppling and holding various programmes in Kokrajhar on Thursday.

The 16 Bn SSB celebrated the day with planting of suppling at their headquarter complex based at Adabari  and neighbouring villages in the presence of  official and publics and distributed supplings among public.

In connection with the day celebration, a friendly football match was played between the 16 Bn SSB and Kokrajhar Press Club at the premises of 16 Bn SSB camp, Adabari in Kokrajhar.

In a trilling match between the two team, the SSB get the better of the Press Club 3-1. Trophy were given to both the team.

Beside, SSB is performing duty of the border gurden force duty in Indo- Nepal Border and Indo Bhutan Border it also increase the local population  in various activities which help the national development, said a senior SSB official in Kokrajhar.

The Bodoland Students Union has organised a mass awareness programme and planted supplings along JD Road beginning from Karigaon in Kokrajhar, on the occasion of the celebration.

The Little Flower School,Kokrajhar also organised a parent cum students awareness meeting on the day and discussed about the importance of the environnent among society.
