Hundreds of Congress workers and leaders in Kokrajhar took part in the cleanliness drive in the town and its adjoining area on Sunday.

The drive started from Ranendra Narayan Basumatary Bhawan via Rashmela ground Road and ended at the same touching post office Road.

Kokrajhar District Congress president Lahendra Basumatary said that party has organised the drive to create cleanliness awareness among the people of all walks of life.

BPF leaves three more seats to BJP

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has left three constituencies- Sorbhog, Rangia and Bhawanipur to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), its ally party. Motor vehicle association warns for non-cooperation in election

The owner and members of the Motor Vehicles in Kokrajhar has warned to take non-cooperation during ensuing Assam assembly election in protest against non-payment of 32 crores of hire charge bills and previous bills of vehicles, which are pending for a long time in the district. The Election Observer for Expenditure for 31-Sidli (ST) LAC Jaginder Singh, IRS on Tuesday arrived at Kajalgaon in Chirang district.
