The Bodoland Indigenous Games Association(BIGA) observed  second death anniversary of late Chanokya Brahma,founder of indigenous games at his burial Choto Adabari in Kokrajhar district today.

Members from games association,sports freaternity and villagers paid homage to late Brahma which was followed by Rani Bala Brahma,widow of late Brahma.

Late Brahma was hold principal in DIET,Kokrajhar besides associating with various organisation and society like Bodo sahitya sabha,cultural,drama,social functions in his life.

A public meeting was held on the day with Abinash Islary,vice-president of BIGA.

Brajendra Kumar Brahma,former president of Bodo sahitya sabha,Janaklal Basumatary,retired IRS,Hariswar Basumatary,chairamn of Kokrajhar Municipality Board,Haricharan Boro,noted writer,Basanta Kumar Brahma,retired teacher were present on the occasion.

Mentioned be made that Chanokya Brahma was died on October 31 at Beijing in China when he was toured to take games events in 2012.

BPF leaves three more seats to BJP

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has left three constituencies- Sorbhog, Rangia and Bhawanipur to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), its ally party. Motor vehicle association warns for non-cooperation in election

The Election Observer for Expenditure for 31-Sidli (ST) LAC Jaginder Singh, IRS on Tuesday arrived at Kajalgaon in Chirang district.
