Car lifters brought to Kokrajhar

Police have busted a notorious gang of car lifters when three thieves were nabbed in Karbi Anglong districts. Identified as Chemau Kumar Singh,Puyana Nila Kumar and Pangam Pamau Maikel Singh, they were brought to Kokrajhar a day after being captured along with a stolen Bolero from Khotkhoti area near Dimapur on Saturday.

The trio had stolen the vehicle bearing registration No AS-16A-4624 from Hatimata area in Kokrajhar on November 25 which belongs to Robin Basumatary. Police investigation started after the owner lodged the FIR with Kokrajhar police and four days after it, Katkoti caught the thieves and recovered the vehicle on Saturday.
