Opp divided over main issues

A divided opposition is failing to corner the government when the Assam Assembly begins its winter session from Monday. But the government is facing the heat of bad governance, rampant corruption, price rise and what not. AGP and AIUDF will raise the halt in ration among the tea workers while BJP charges the government with misleading the people on the vital issues.

Party sources told Assam Times that the government is unlikely to be embarrassed in the face of a divided opposition. BJP will get support neither from AGP nor from AIUDF.

Apart from question hour, the day one include, laying of ordinance and introduction of bills (if any), submission of reports of various Assembly committees, motion for election of members to various Assembly committees, government committees, boards and presentation of supplementary demands and supplementary appropriation for 2014-15.

The government is expected to table six amendments bills, all from the finance department, in the Assembly. He said the Assembly secretariat has so far received two amendment bills
