Heath camp in press club

On the occasion of 26th anniversary celebration of downtown hospital, a general health check-up camp for scribes with their close family members is organized in Guwahati Press Club tomorrow (5 February 2015). The check-up and consultation will start at 10 am and continue till 3 pm.

Physicians from various departments like General Medicine (Dr Swapnav Borthakur, Dr Nitin Naharkar), Cardiology (Dr Dipannita Mahanta), Diabetology (Dr Rupam Das), ENT (Dr Dhruba Jyoti Dutta, Dr Srikanth Medam),Gynecology (Dr Monti Saha), Pediatrics (Dr Kahkasa Rahman Choudhury), HPB & Liver Transplant (Dr Dibya Jyoti Bora), Dermatology (Dr Saradi Sreemoyee) with physiotherapist Dr Arindam Deb, dietician Ms Tiababy Baruah will be available for necessary consultations.

Moreover general checking of blood pressure, blood sugar, ECG (in need) will also be organized in the camp, where the chairman cum managing director of the city based hospital Dr NN Dutta is also expected to grace the camp for some time.

As part of Guwahati Press Club’s continuing initiative for regular health check-up and instilling proper health awareness among mediapersons, its ‘Evening with a Doctor’ program this Saturday featured city-based Dispur Hospital conducting the weekly evening OPD clinic at the Press Club premises. The city based Excelcare Hospitals on Saturday conducted the weekly evening OPD clinic at Guwahati Press Club, where cardiologist Dr Debanga Bora and general practitioner Dr Sonali Barman offered free consultations to over 30 participants. The participants also got the opportunity to check their weight, height and blood pressure in the camp.  Organized under the ‘Evening with a Doctor’ program for the benefit of press club members along with their dependants, the last camp was graced by Chennai SIMS Hospital’s gastro surgeon Dr Patta Radhakrishna. The weekly evening OPD clinic at Guwahati Press Club (GPC) on 10 June was conducted by the city based Wintrobe Hospital, where Dr Nitin Gupta (urologist & andrologist) and Dr Debajit Baishya (urologist and uro-oncosurgeon) offered free healthcare consultations to over 30 media workers. They were assisted by nurses Jyotshna Dey & Sumi Bora and health-workers Minu Baishya, Simi Saikia, Kakhini Sima etc in conducting the camp, organized under the ‘Evening with a Doctor’ series for the benefit of GPC members along with their dependents.

Wintrobe Hospital doctors to attend GPC media clinic

The city based Wintrobe Hospital will conduct the next weekly evening OPD clinic at Guwahati Press Club (GPC) on 10 June. Boost for GPC health program

The city based Wintrobe Hospital will extend supports to the ‘Evening with a Doctor’ program at Guwahati Press Club (GPC) on next Saturday (3 September). Three medical practitioners from the private hospital will join the evening OPD starting at pm. Dr Nitin Gupta (Urology), Dr Juri Talukdar (General Practitioner) and Dr Debanga Borah (Cardiology) will be available for free consultations to media persons. A citizens’ meet on Thursday unanimously demanded disbanding of the Rhino Horns Verification Committee, recently formed by the Government of Assam, as in its opinion, the committee is out to legalize all irregularities by those involved in killing and poaching of rhinos and selling their horns.
