The Umananda temple premises is throbbing with the Shivratri puja offering on Tuesday.

Thousands of people are waiting in long queues on the sand of Brahmaputra from early in the morning to offer puja to the Lord Shiva on the Maha Shivratri day,

“We are leaving no stone unturned to ensure smooth celebration of the annual puja celebration, puja celebration committee officials told Assam Times.

“Over 200 foreign tourists also offered puja to the Lord Shiva from Monday,” they said on Tuesday.
