Hagrama distributes portfolios
BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary distributed departmental portfolios among executive members after two day of oath taking of office today at a press conference held at BTC Secretariat in Kokrajhar.
Mohilary announced the alloted departments among executive members keeping PWD,P & RD,WPT & BC(all central funds),IBA(Implementation of Bodo Accords) and other departments not allotted to other executive members with him.
Deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary has been allotted departments of Forest,Tourism and Education while executive member Lwmsrao Daimary was given PHE,Museum & Archaeology and Excise departments. Bonjar Daimary, executive member gets Food & Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs,Cinema and Cultural Affairs departments,Rajib Brahma gets Irrigation and WPT & BC(plan funds) departments,Mritunjay Narzary gets Social Welfare and Information & Public Relations departments,Alindra Mushahary gets departments of Land Revenue and Disasater Management,Printing & Stationary and Market & Fairs,Ganesh Kachary gets Health Services and Cottage Industry departments,Doneswar Goyary gets Urban development and Town & Country planing and Sports & Youth welfare deaprtments,Ansumwi Khunggur Boro gets Agriculture and Weights & Measures department, Deben Boro gets Handloom & Textile and Sericulture departments,Shyam Sundi gets Fishery,Animal Husbandry & Veterinary deaprtments,Jagadish Sarkar gets Soil Conservation,Transport and Cooperation department and Maheswar Basumatary gets Water Resources and Library Services departments.
Mohilary said that the council will look after all deaprtmental activities holding review meeting by two or three months in the council and developmental activities be check to gain more stressed in his terms.He said that he would give more priority to upliftment of women in the region and will extend financial supports to the self help groups in the region.
He told that all VCDC,TCLCC,developmental boards except CSB under council have been dissolved and all these would be formed soon as council will take step to put up all issues.
He also told that his BPF party will sit an executive meeting tomorrow at Guwahati Bodoland Guest House to review recent concluded council election results where his party won 20 seats.

A self styled deputy commander in chief of Kamatapur Liberation Organization (KLO) was killed in an encounter with security forces at Shiljan area in Kokrajhar district today.
