Atleast 8 people sustained injury when the IAF-owned Sukhoi-30 crashlanded in Tezpur on Tuesday. 

They sustained injury when the splitting parts of the ill fated jet fell on them. Treatment is underway. 

"The fighter jet crashed in the sky with a huge sound," said Prabin Das who came to see the jet coming down to the earth with a fireball. 

"I came out of my home as I heard the earsplitting sound. What I saw is unbelievable. The jet caught fire in the sky and the burning parts started moving here and there," said Tayana Begum who came to see the burning jet crashlanding at an open space. 

Local residents told Assam Times that many children in the area have complained earache as they came to hear the earsplitting sound of the fighter jet.
