NTPC synchronizes with NE regional grid

The 1st 250 MW UNIT of NTPC Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project,Salakati  has been test synchronised successfully with NE Regional Grid today in Kokrajhar.

The synchronisation enables the Unit to send power to the grid from its generation. This is the 1st Unit of NTPC in North-Eastern part of India and state of Assam will get 50% of the generated power from this project unit.

Mentioned be made that the project was laid foundation by the then Prime Minister Dr Manmahan Singh on January in 2006 and it was scheduled to complete by 2010,but due to several reasons prevails in the region, the successful was delayed.It was stated by Priyanka Bhuyan, Priyanka Bhuyan, Asst.Manager(PR), NTPC Bongaigaon Salakati in a statement.
