Encephalitis wreak havoc: toll 21

Japanese encephalitis continues to wreak havoc in many parts claiming at least 21 lives within the last couple of days.

In Golaghat district alone, the killer disease have claimed 4 lives. Over 15 people have been undergoing treatment in the district.

Golaghat is followed by Morigaon district where the toll stands at 3. Two people died each in Jorhat, Sivasagar, Dibrugarh, Sonitpur districts.

According to information, 128 people have been undergoing treatment across the state.
