Curious UFO in sky!

An unidentified object hovering around the sky in upper Assam pulled no less spell of curiosity among lakhs of people on Wednesday evening.

Much to the utter surprise and curiosity, the comet like object was spotted in the sky in and around the Naharkatiya area at around 9 in the evening forcing the people to come out of their homes to watch the strange objects. But there was no conclusion even from the experts.

The same object struck the heavy attention of the people in Dibrugarh district on Tuesday night.

 

Meanwhile, ISRO officials in Shillong told Assam Times that they were not aware of such objects in the sky. But they said if it is spotted it might be drones.

whether ISRO or NASA they will never confess that ufos are of extraterrestrial origin...i have witnessed an ufo from the front yard of my house in jorhat,assam, india on 23rd june 2015...the ufo hovered for about 40mins and finally shot off at lightning speed into the night sky..it can travel at the blink of an eye and i dont think that a drone has that technology...if drones can accelerate at lightning speed then we sud able to go for interstellar travel sitting in a drone itself..whatever i saw was nothing made on earth..nothing made om earth has technology to accelerate away and shot off at the speed of lightning

Yes. I live in dibrugarh 2days after this event i saw a ufo around 8pm while i was talking to my friend on phone suddenly i heard a loud noise and the phone's signal was lost.my frined too heard ths noise. I looked up and i saw a big ufo with purple light hovering on top of me. I quickly went inside and called my mom and sister. When they came it went away in a lighting size and became like a star but was moving very fast. My friend also saw the ufo

Combing operation in Pengeri

Security forces are fanning at Pengeri area in Tinsukia district of Assam in search of four ULFA militants on Monday who are believed to have been hiding to extort money. Acting on a tip off Tinsukia police and army jawans conducted a raid in the area on Monday. GNLA militant killed in Krishnai

A hardcore GNLA militant died at an encounter with police in Goalpara district of Assam on Monday. A police constable also sustained serious injury in the heavy exchange of firing which laster for nearly one hour. The encounter took place at a remote area in Krisnai where the militant died on the spot. Notably, police nabbed a militant with arms in the area on Sunday.     

Police officer jailed in ATM cash loot

Assam police have to hang their heads in shame when a senior officcer was caught for aiding a gang of criminals to loot cash from an ATM van last week. He was none other than Bhupen Das. Police on Monday arrested the Rangiya police station officer incharge charing him with helping the gang loot Rs 19 lakh from a van. Later he shared the cash with the criminals.  According to police, Das prepared the entire blueprint to loot the cash from the van when it was on the way from Nalbari to Baihata Chariali for refilling an Axis Bank ATM. More cash seized from Krishnai

Police have recovered yet another amount of Rs 15 lakh from Goalpara tracing the Brinks Arya loot case. A joint team of Guwahati and Goalpara police seized the entire amount from a women in Krishnai hours after her son in law was arrested in this connection. Her son so in law Nayan Barman who along with six others looted the HDFC cash from a Brinks Arya vehicle last week. Five of them including the driver were caught a day afte they seized Rs 1.15 crore from their possesion.

JFA condemns journalist murder in Gaya

Another middle-aged journalist, this time it is in poll-bound Bihar, has lost his life to the perpetuators. Mithilesh Pandey, 40, was shot dead on 25 October 2015 in his hometown under Gaya district. According to the family source, the miscreants (two masked persons) entered the victim’s house on Saturday evening and shot at him to death. Pandey was taken to a nearby hospital by his family members, but he succumbed to injuries after some time. 4 in Jorhat police custody

The Jorhat police have arrested 2 youths on Sunday for their recent attack on an Austria tourist couple. Two others involves in the incident have surrendered. Senior police officials have been interrogating all the four youths at the Sadar police station. They attacked the couple when they were on the way back from Kokilamukh where the car was damaged. They were rescued by the local residents and police before being taken away to the Jorhat Circuit House. The next day the couple left for Myanmar via Nagaland.

SAF games from Feb 6: Gogoi

Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi announced on Sunday that the South Asian Games would take place from February 6 to 16. Addressing a crowded press conference in Dispur, Gogoi said Guwahati and Shillong will host the event with the help of the state and Centre. According to Gogoi, the Centre would sponsor the event and that the state governments in Assam and Meghalaya will only facilitate.

Sixth accused in HDFC Bank cash loot held

In yet another major breakthrough, police have captured a youth from Goalpara on Sunday who along with five others who looted Rs 2.80 crore from a Brinks Arya vehicle in Guwahati five days back. Identified as Nayan Barman, he was caught during a special operation by crime branch in the wee hours. Rs 35 lakh in cash was seized from his possession. Police have already arrested five others including the driver a day after they looted the HDFC cash brought to deposit at ATM booths.
