Staggering blow for ULFA as 3 more top cadres killed in Dibrugarh encounter
In yet another staggering blow, Army has killed three more top ranked ULFA cadres at an encounter on Tuesday night in upper Assam’s Dibrugarh district. According to information, acting on specific information, Army’s 111 Guards conducted a raid in No 1 Borbam village under Tengakhat village in the evening. Firstly, the hiding ULFA cadres started firing at the army jawans which has forced a heavy gun battle. Three top ranked ULFA cadres were killed in the fighting that was running for several hours. Army suspect one more cadre managed to escape the encounter. These deceased cadres have been identified as sergeant major Madhurya Gohain who is known to be a dangerous cadre, sergeant Krishnamoni Gogoi and sergeant Bada Dadra. Later army recovered two AK 56 rifles and 4 magazines from the slain militants. Notably, during the last 24 hours the banned insurgent outfit has lost six top cadres. On Monday midnight, Dharya Deka, who was operating in place of the ailing Hira Sarania was killed at a joint operation in lower Assam’s Baska district.
