Draft electoral roll out in Golaghat

The authorities in Golaghat district have published draft electoral rolls of No 95 Golaghat and No 96 Khumtai assembly constituencies according to the Election Commission guidelines. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Election) David Kumar Timung and District Election Officer Jitu Kumar Das, the draft voter list was published on Monday. There has been provision for claims and objections for the voters and for the Khumtai constituency the claims and objections would be dealt till November 11. All claims and objections will be settled on December 7. 

The number of polling booths has increased this time. In No 95 Golaghat constituency, the number of total booths stands at 221 now instead of earlier 207. In No 96 Khumtai constituency total voting booths has gone up to 158 from 147. Final voter list will be published on January 11, 2016.
