Luminaries of Assamese Literature released

Luminaries of Assamese Literature, a collection of biographical articles on eminent persons, written by Babul Tamuli in English was released on Friday in the city. Eminent educationist Dr Amarjyoti Choudhury, while releasing the book, appreciated the initiative of the writer.

Dr Paramananda Rajbongshi, secretary general of Asom Sahitya Sabha with writer-journalists Utpal Dutta and Nava Thakuria also graced the occasion.

Published by Pranjal Kumar Mahanta on behalf of Aalibaat, the book comprises brief life-stories of Anandaram Barooah, Lakshminath Bezbarua, Rajani Kanta Bordoloi, Ambikagiri Raychoudhury, Jyotiprasad Agarwala, Birendra Kumar Bhattacharya, Bhupen Hazarika, Bhabendra Nath Saikia, Mamoni Raisom Goswami etc.
