ABWWF Conference concluded

The 14th biennial confrence of the All Bodo Women’s Welfare Federation(ABWWF) concluded here at Bodofa Cultural complex with two-day various programme scheduled in Kokrajhar on Saturday.

An workers meet on the topic of Bodo owmen and politics was also organised on the concluding day with Mithinga Basumatary,president of the federation in the chair.

Dr Dinanath Basumatary,director of college & university of Bodoland University graced as appointed speaker on the session.

Rajendra Nath Boro,president of Boro Somaj,Rajendra Nath Brahma,secretary of Bodo sahitya sabha,Billa Kumar Brahma,president,Jogeswar Brahma,secretary of Boro Harimu Afad,Kanan Basumatary,adviser of federation among others were prominent attendees on the session.

Mithinga Basumatary,president of the federation told that the federation discussed on the various issues including women empowerment among society and bringing of quality education highlighting the social integration.She said that women community be comeforward to the building social upliftment and educationally advantage to meet social equal development in the state as well as country.She has also urged that the women should also be given equal status and rights while making development spheres in the state.

A new executive committee of the federation for next two-term was formed with Bibha Rani Narzary as president and Phulani Brahma as secretary along with 21 executive members in the session.
