Altogether 12 students were felicitated and conferred 11th Kamal Kumar Brahma Derhasat Bantha 2016,who passed HSLC in top with Bodo medium at a programme held at Hardatta Birdatta Bhawan in Rangia on Tuesday.
The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) conferred the Bantha(award)a who were passed the HSLC examination with Bodo medium, with traditional Aronai, book, bouquet and citation in the huge presence of student and common citizens.
This year 1174 students all over the state passed in first division in Bodo medium, among them Baksa district recorded 347,Kokrajhar 322,Udalguri 159,Chirang 156 passed in first division.
Dr Bhabesh Das, principal of Govt Ayurvedic College,Guwahati,Dr Atul Bora,principal,Assam Engineering College graced as guests on the occasion with Promod Boro, ABSU president in the chair.
Boro said that the students union was working for the quality education among students community in the region and seeing gradually pass percentage strength of the community has been increasing with mother tongue education. He has urged the students community should be dedicated themselves while taking higher studies in their life.

Kokrajhar, May 2: A search operation that began yesterday evening concluded today with the recovery of three bodies from the Beki River near Manas National Park in Baksa district.
The three youths, identified as Deep Saha, Raj Saha, and Abhijit Karmakar, all from Barpeta Road, reportedly went missing after entering the river for a swim on Wednesday evening. Local sources informed that authorities, including the police, SDRF, and local residents, launched a search operation late Wednesday night.
