Pithika celebrates 12th Foundation Day

Over hundred poets from different parts of Kokrajhar and Chirang district participated and recite their self compose poems on the occasion of 12th Foundation Day celebration of ‘Pithika’ on Sunday held at Basic Training Centre(BTC) in Kokrajhar.

The celebration was organized by Boro Employees’ Literary Society, Kokrajhar to mark the foundation day of Pithika,a group of poets and literary activists.

Noted poet Nilim Kumar,Guwahati graced as chief guest on the occasion and interacted with poets and recite self compose poems. He said that it is a great pleasure to be part of this poem recitation programme in Kokrajhar because there are many budding and senior poets participated and recite their self composes poems.

‘This kind of programme will courage to create and write literary work and poem among literary world through which persons be identified positive in their creations’, said Kumar.

Noted writer PK Hazoary said that the occasion was pleasure moment for us because the Pithika group turns its 300 poets’ session in today’ life.

Sahitya Academy awarded Brajendra Kumar Brahma,Janil Kumar Brahma,writer Lakhinath Brahma, Pithika organizer Swmdwn Brahma were prominent attendees on the occasion.
