A Swedist tourist expressed his happiness and attraction over seeing Golden langur, a rare species found in Chakrashila wildlife sanctuary in Kokrajhar district. Fedrick, a Sweden tourist, who is staying in Kokrajhar for three days to see Golden langur along Chakrashila wildlife sanctuary visited the beautiful natural scenery and gardening in the area. He termed that Golden langue found in this sanctuary is very rare and looking beautiful to see on its physical structure. He said he has come here to take video shot and photographs on golden langur, which is found only in this region in the world. He said Assam and this region have a good natural beautification with rare species that bring tourists across the world. He has expressed his hopeful that this region could be healthy tourist spot if tourist arena be uplifted in the state. He said that he love natural beauty scene in the jungle of India that attracts human minds.
Kokrajhar: Bodoland University (BU), a leading educational institution in the Bodoland Territorial Region, hosted its third convocation on Sunday at the Jwhwlao Nileswar Brahma Auditorium in Kokrajhar. Degree certificates were conferred upon graduates and PhD holders from the academic years 2021-22, 2022-23, and 2023-24. The ceremonial event was graced by the Chancellor of the university and Governor of Assam, Lakshman Prasad Acharya, who personally awarded certificates to the qualified students.
