RSS leader hurt in miscreants' attack

Sensation grips Kokrajhar following an indiscriminate attack on a RSS leader in the BTAD headquerters on Sunday night. The local RSS leaders sustained injury when unidentified armed miscreants targetted him as he was travelling on a car in the evening. The incident took place in front of Sister Margaret Nobel School in the heart of the town. That too at a stones throw distance from the police station. RSS leader from Gossaigaon Adhesh Mahato received bullet injury on his right hand.

The miscreants were beleived to have targetted Kokrajhar BJP president Shibnath Brahma who managed to escape the attack. An empty cartridge was recovered from the spot which was fired by miscreants.

The duo were back to their homes after attending a family ceremony. Injured Mahato was rushed to the Kokrajhar RNB Civil Hospital to be referred to GMC and Hospital Guwhati for better treatment.
