All party delegation to meet Chief Minister

An all party delegation team from the BTC Legislative Assembly under the leadership of Speaker of BTC Legislative Assembly is meeting the Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal within March 31 to appraise about various issues and grievances including fund enhancement, receive of revenue taxes, implementation of project and schemes in the council.

Opposition members expressing displeasure over budget presented yesterday by Mohilary to run the council for the 2017-18 financial year said that the budget should be held before state general budget every year.

 The Budget session of BTC for 2017-18 financial was concluded today with passed the estimated budget Rs.202172.81 lakh for the council. Tridiv Daimary, Speaker of BTC Legislative Assembly,chaired the budget session held at BTCLA House, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar.

 Members both from ruling and opposition join hands on the general discussion on the Budget presented yesterday by BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary, who is also finance in-charge. The discussion lasted nearly one and half hour on the budget figuring properly indication and implementation of budgets tabled to meet healthy running in the council.

  Mohilary after the Budget session  said that the house resolved to send an all party delegation team to meet CM within March 31.He said that BTC administration was working for the all round development of council.He said that Opposition members’ urge for equality and tranquility would be maintained through which citizens from all sections are getting equal rights.

 On the arrest of Subadh Biswas,NIBBUS leader,Mohilary said Biswas surrendered in front of Assam Police,not arrested.He should be awarded punished as per law of land along with other involved guity persons with Silapothar clashes.

‘We have been taking strong initiative to meet development in all aspects of the region.We have yet to implement several project and schemes, which included newly created district and sub division of the council through BTC still deprived from proper implemented’,Mohilary said.

Rwngwra Narzary,UPPL MCLA said that the budget presented on Tuesday to the house was nothing,but fixed framed for BTC region.The government should allocate separate budget phenomenon before holding state budget,Narzary said.

 “We must have separate proceedures ahead state Budget presentation to gain development of four districts of BTC.The council administration must take proper initiative while discharging implementation sof project and schemes”.

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Narzary has represented India in several international events and is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in Kokrajhar district. Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) team won the trophy defeating Lai Autonomous Council (LADC) of Mizoram 1-0 in the final match of inter sixth schedule premier league -2022 being held at SAI SAG center,Kathalguri Titaguri in Kokrajhar district.
