ABMSU burns Education Minister's effigy

Protesting education minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma's remarks over amalgamate policy of Assam High Madrasa Board with SEBA, the All BTC Minority Students Union burnt effigy of Dr Sarma at Salakati main Road in Kokrajhar district on Thursday.

Hundreds of students union activists from ABMSU come with banner, placards and shouted slogans in protest against Dr Sarma remarks on the amalgamate policy of Madrasa Board in Assam with SEBA.The students union burnt effigy of Dr Sarma and demanded resignation from the education minister.

Lafikul Islam Ahmed, president of the ABMSU slammed the education minister for his anti-Madrasa remarks in the state in his education minister tenure. He has alleged that Dr Sarma's remarks was not acceptable for the state as he has been taking against minority community.

‘The students union will be continued its protest against anti-Madrasa policy as education minister has been trying to amalgamate with SEBA’,Ahmed said.
