An Assamese professor in New Delhi has fetched huge pride to the north eastern region when she received a prestigious award in the national capital for her outstanding works for the country and it's people.
She is none other than Dr Arti Barua, who has received the Mother Teresa Global Award for Excellence and Gold Medal for 2017.
Baruah, who teaches Philosophy in the Deshabndhu College, University of Delhi received thr coveted award at a glittering function in IIC , New Delhi attended by former Sikkim Governor Ch. Randhir Singh.
Dr Barua was awarded for her excellent work done which is something extra – ordinary for her country and countrymen and has attained greater excellence in her field of activity and enhanced the image of India.
