BPF eyes more ministerial berth

The BJP led alliance state government under the Chief Ministership Sarbananda Sononwal has been delayed the cabinet ministry expansion since government formed as so far now the government passed 14 months in the state. Hagrama Mohilary, BTC chief and supremo of the BPF party, an ally of the alliance government said he does not know when the cabinet expansion will be taking place.

Mohilary and Bibekananda Choudhury, Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar laid foundation stones to construct/strengthening roads at Ultapani and Saralpara along the Indo-Bhutan border in Kokrajhar district on Sunday.

 Mohilary, BTC chief as well BPF president said in a sideline of a programme held at Saralpara in Kokrajhar on Sunday, ‘I don't know when will be taking place of ministry expansion in the present alliance government in the state. But, only I know his BPF party is getting one more ministerial berth in the next cabinet expansion'. He said that he is sure of ministry expansion will take place in the state in coming days and his party is going to get one more cabinet berth in the ministry.

On the road development and construction along the Indo-Bhutan border area in BTC region, Mohilary said that his council administration has been eying to construct Bodoland National Highway along the Indo-Bhutan border north of BTC to gain road connectivity with Bhutan country. He has appreciated the district administration for initiating road construction measures in the border areas in the region. He said that the road connectivity in the border areas should be developed and well equipped so that border citizens also could get healthy living communication.       

Mohilary laid foundation stone to construct/strengthening of road by ICBP under Border area development project from Saralpara bazaar to Indo-Bhutan connecting road at a length of 3 kms at Saralpara in Kokrajhar district. The road would be constructed amounting of 1.34 crores under BADP (SCA) for the year 2016-17.  Choudhury, deputy commissioner, Kokrajhar also laid foundation stone to construct/strengthening of road by ICBP from Ultapani bazaar to Ultapani village. The road would be constructed amounting of 90 lakhs under BADP for the financial year 2016-17.

Choudhury after laying stone said that the district administration has been stressing to make develop of road connectivity along the border region in the district. The duo roads would be constructed under the special central assistance (SCA) under border area development project (BADP) for the financial year of 2016-17. He said that district administration has been submitted a project to the chief secretary of the state to make a model village in the Ultapani,Saralpara area besides making an integrated area along the Indo-Bhutan border in the region.

He said that district administration has sent a proposal to upgrade the existing foreigners check gate into full pledged Indo-Bhutan check to maintain integrity and healthy communication in between India and Bhutan. He also said that peoples of this region would be given away more services from government for which a proposal has been submitted to pave way services in all aspects like network services, medical, road connectivity, education.

Ultapani and Saralpara area is a international border area with beautiful scenario in the district.So,it is very much required to make development with sustainable project ad schemes as well government functions’,Choudhury said.
