Government forms SIT to inquire into killing of ABMSU President

Assam Government has constituted a Special Investigation Team headed by senior IPS Officer Anurag Tankhar having experience working with National Investigation Agency to undertake a through probe leading to the killing of ABMSU President Lafiqul Islam and corroborate the findings. This was stated in a press release from Chief Minister's office on Friday.

Government of Assam also recommended CBI inquiry into the killing of ABMSU President and sent a letter to Union Home Ministry, the release said.
