Physical assault on magistrate in Kokrajhar
KOKRAJHAR: In a heart touching incident, Kokrajhar SP Rajen Singh physical assaulted EAC Sailen Das at a gettogeter inside a hotel in Kokrajhar as video of CCTV footages state.
The incident has come into light after a video became viral on social media on Friday.
According to sources, there was a get together organised by district administration at Hotel Gaurang Valley on September 9 where the incident took place.
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal ordered an official inquiry into the incident.
RTI activist Dural Bora also filed a compalint in this regard with CID Assam on Saturday.

KOKRAJHAR: A 55 year old person identified as one Bhaidhya Oraon,who was reportedly drowned at Hel River was recovered at Singimari village under Fakiragram PS in Kokrajhar district on Tuesday.The incident took place at Singimari village on Monday evening. A joint team of police, SDRF and local people started search operation to fish out the body since early morning and retrieved the body. The person was missing after he went for fishing. The family members of the deceased identified the body which was later sent for post-mortem.
