Raha police bags first prize at inter police station Bihu competition

The Bihu team from Raha police station at the inter district police station open bihu competition at Nagaon police reserve playground has bagged first prize.

The competition was organised on the occasion of celebration of  President's colours  award to Assam police by Nagaon police at Nagaon police reserve playground on Tuesday. 

The bihu team from Raha P S led by officer- in- charge Arpan Saikia had attracted the attention of the audience and the judges because of the beautiful bihu dances of all the team members.

Senior officials of the Nagaon police, including Leena Doley, superintendent of police , Dhruba Bora , additional superintendent of police , Nirupam Hazarika , ASP ( Security), Deputy SPs and officers-in-charge of all the police stations in the district and many other distinguished guests were present at the event.

Bihu team from Samaguri P S bagged the second prize while Police reserve bihu team secured third position, respectively, at the event. The judges' special award was given to Dhing police station bihu team.

The trophies were handed over to the winning bihu teams by Leena Doley amidst a large gathering.

A total of fifteen bihu teams from different police stations of the district took part in the competition.
