Utthan, a group formed by the youths from different parts of the world after the serial blast in Assam had organized a day long campaign on 30th November in different parts of Guwahati. The members of the organization including students of Bhaskar Vidyapeeth distributed brochures and pamphlets appealing for taking action against anti social elements. The members of the group distributed white roses as a symbol of peace to people in different parts of the city. The campaign started from Ganeshguri and ended at Fancy Bazaar. "It is a nice initiatives as youths are taking steps even after one month, these kind of campaign must go on so that people remember what happened on 'Black Thursday' in different parts of Assam", said Mr. Bipul Talukdar, a businessman from Ganeshguri area. The members of Utthan informed that they will continue similar campaign in different parts of the state so that people remain united against anti social elements. We have seen that the state players and others concerned departments have failed in protecting the lives of the citizens, so, all of us have to work together for our own safety, Pankaj Chutia, Secretary of Utthan. The programme was attended by the members from Utthan including members of Utthan who are working in Scotland and Norway.
