3 died, 23 injured in Kaliabhomora accident

Three persons died and 23 others injured as their bus struck at a stranded truck near the Kaliabhomora bridge under Ulkuwani police station in Sonitpur on Thursday morning.

According to information, the ill fated bus, bound for was Rangajan in Sonitpur from Hatipukhuri in Nagaon district was carrying a marriage party. Three persons died on the spot while other injured persons have been sent to the hospital. A seriously injured person has been rushed to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital. He is identified as Dipankar Hazarika. Two of the deceased persons have been identified as Suchen Mandal and Samin Barman.
