Usha Rai to deliver 9th Kamala Saikia Memorial Lecture

Eminent development journalist Usha Rai will deliver 9th Kamala Saikia Memorial Lecture tomorrow (August 9) in the city. Organized by Journalist Kamala Saikia Memorial Trust in association with Guwahati Press Club, the programme will begin at 4 pm in Vivekananda Kendra.

Mentionable that journalist and freedom fighter Kamala Saikia was killed by the ULFA militants on August 9 almost two decades back because of his critical writings against the armed outfit. Unfortunately justice has been denied till today for the family of Saikia and journalist community of Assam.
