Over 170 fall ill after consuming mid-day meal

At least 175 students fell ill after they consumed meal served in school in Dibrugarh district on Monday. The incident took place at No 3 Line LP School in Borbaruah Tea Estate at around 1PM after they consumed mid day meal provided by the school. According to information,half an hour after after they consumed the meal the students,mostly complained stomach pain,some others started vomitting inside the classrooms while aa few of them fell unconscious. Local residents rushed these students to the nearest hospital while 5of them have been shifted to the AMCH where they are battling for life. Meanwhile, the district administration has ordered an enquiry in to it.The school authorities are clueless on thincident. Police have registered a case before arresting the shool teachers and the cook.
