Nagaon witnesses 'road show' at election time
As the Assam assembly election date is approaching the Nagaon citizens are waking-up with development works of present Govt. knocking at their doors at the end of almost five years long wait. The passing of each day is here witnessed by some by-lanes of this city being dugged, repaired and renovated with fresh coating of bitumen. The sleep mode of Govt. bodies now seems to be turning ON at right time when these ‘road-show’ will at-least make voters stand softer on Govt. so called neglecting attitude towards developmental work in totality.
Its time for the Govt. to wait with cross hands and see what voters decide on vote front on account of this last minute developmental strategy to show-off newly built road network prior to election day ahead !

The common man is having tough time ahead just on the eve of Bihu purchasing as price of almost all the commodities including vegetables and fruits widely used on Bihu is much higher than preceeding year-2010.

The people of Jamunmukh town are having harrowing time while traveling by road from Nagaon-Hojai belt as the main connecting road from Saru Pathar to Jamunamukh is having big holes, where not only four-wheelers but two-wheeler drivers too are having stressful drive a s there is no alternative to reach there. The 12 hours long 'Bandh' called by AAMSU against Police action on Barpeta yesterday ended peacefully here at Nagaon. The market area wore deserted look as shopkeepers kept their shutters down as pre-cautonnary measure, whereas majority road were empty due to absence of buses, auto from major routes.On the other hand all the major Central Govt. establishments, banks etc were open, but customers kept themselves away from normal business.
