Vote for congress to keep the development continue - PM

“Vote for congress to keep the development of Assam continue or alive. During last 10 years Tarun Gogi led congress government had done a lot for the development of the state. With the help of UPA government in Delhi Tarun Gogoi was able to proceeded in the developmental side. Congress government was also able to developed in various sectors of the state. In each and every department congress government was able to develop. The implementation of various schemes also proceeded” - said the honourable prime minister of India Manmohan Singh in an election meeting at Baradi, near Police Reserve in Barpeta district today at about 1.50 pm as usual lecture nothing special.. Addressing in the meet the prime minister also said that before the rule of congress government, that is in 10 years earlier, the situation of Assam is in a very deplorable state. The government servicemen were not even get their salaries properly.


The insurgency problems, specially the ULFA problems had also created a great problem for the general people. But during the region of Tarun Gogoi led congress government the scenario of Assam had completely changed. The socio-economic conditions of the people had completely changed. PM also said that during the time of congress government, the establishment of Medical college, specially at Barpeta, Engineering collegeTezpur Universiity are the sign of development.


He assured the people of Barpeta by saying that if this time also the people will vote for congress, the growth and development of very side will be rapid. The PM urged the people of Barpeta to give congress a chance to develop Assam as an early date. PM later on opined that congress is the party of general people( AAM AADMI KA PARTY). And congress will do well this time also by their developmental works. Earlier PM Manmohan Singh said that to come to Assam seems to him to come his own home as he was elected from Assam. The development of then satras, Masjids, education sector, health sector, agriculture would be specially noticed after the lection if congress will be able to form a government. The prime minister of India had not given any special messages for the people of Assam in his lecture except urging vote for Congress.
