AASU leaders dies in tragic road accident at Janji, Sivasagar
Kalyan Arandhara, Assistant General Secretary, of Sivasagar district and Manash Bharali, Adviser, Janji regional unit died in a tragic road accident on National Highway 37 at Janji-Phulpanisiga.
Arandhara's was acompanied by Manash Bharali in the bike (AS04-H-5341) which was hit by mini bus (AS03-H-6827) from behind on his way from Sivasagar to Sepon. When they fell down, another vehicle coming from opposite direction, lost its controll and hit them. Later the mini bus was detained by Jorhat police and arrested the driver.
AASU boys blocked the highway for about for about 3 hours after the incident. Late Kalyan Arandhara, was popular and active social worker. He was a general secretary of Janji Hemnath Sarma College and adorned the general secretary, Adviser of Janji regional unit of the organisation. He was also a correspondant of Assamese dailies, Ajir Dainik Batori and Niyomiya Batra and founder of Janji Press Club. He was also associated with Body building activities.
Arandhara was the youngest son of late Minadhar Arandhara of Bolomiya Gaon, Janji. Manash Bharali was the eldest son of Suren Bharali of Janji-Garhkukh.
