ULFA claims responsibility of Demow blast

ULFA's Paresh Baruah faction owned up the responsibility of the grenade blast at the Demow police station on Tuesday.

In a statement on Wednesday, the outfit alleged that they struck the police station in protest against the police excess on common people. Officer in charge of the police station Sanjib Baruah has been transferred on Wednesday. Notably, two motorcycle born youths lobbed the grenade at the police station premises which exploded with a huge sound. Security forces are conducting an intensified operation against the outfit.
