BJP submits memo to DC

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Dima Hasao District submitted a memorandum with five points charter of demands to the Deputy Commissioner, Dima HasaoDistrict, Haflong on Tuesday (10.7.12) seeking his intervention and action thereafter.


The memorandum signed by Ms Banani Kemprai, Presidnent, Sri Chandra Sekhar Rao, Northeastern Region BJP incharge, Sri Ramkrishna Ghosh, National General Secretary, BJMM, etc. stated that in recent past the people of Dima Hasao district faced terrible havoc due to natural calamities, some of the people lost their lives and many of them incurred major property losses. In fact such unwanted natural calamities never occurred in Dima Hasao District, therefore, they humbly requested to intervene the matter by assessing the valuation of loss of 1 acre 1 lakh, lives, properties and compensate at the rate of Rs.l, 00,000/-(Rupees One lakh) minimum to the affected peoples and at least Rs.2, 00,000/-(Rupees Two lakhs) to the next to kin who lost their lives.


The employees under the Administrative control Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, Haflong were facing immense hardship due to nonpayment of monthly salaries regularly.They requested to intervene the matter from the Administrative end to ensure payment of salaries to the Employees regularly.


The people of this district were not availing the PDS items due to non transparency of the system, hence to ensure strict and smooth functioning of PD System.


They observed that the Ruling party at Dima Hasao Autonomous Council has misused of funds sanctioned for development by indulging large scale corruption. In this connection they requested to check such malpractices for the greater interest of the people of this district.


They further demanded for immediate restoration and improvement of road communication particularly of Haflong Town as well as entire Dima Hasao District.
