Wild elephant kills 1 more in Udalguri distric

In another tragic incident  one Indrajit Sarma (32) of Kasubil village under Paneri Police Station has been mysteriously killed by a wild elephant at Jorapukhuri village yesterday evening at 7 pm on June 9. The body was recovered later at night.Excited unruly villagers physically assaulted forest personnels at Paneri causing damage to Paneri forest office.It was not known why the person had visited the remote area in night time.According to information he had been accompanied by another person. It needs mention that wild elephants had killed two persons at Coramore the previous night. Green Society,Udalguri and Green Valley Forest and Wildlife Protection Society,Nonaipar appeal  BTC authority to take up early preventing measures so as to minimize man elephant conflict.
