The 3rd Shillong Woolen Expo cum Exhibition at Shillong concluded recently. The event was organsied by Indian Chamber of Commerce in association with Central Wool Development Board, Jodhpur, Ministry of Textiles. This idea and purpose the Expo is to encourage weavers from rural areas for promotion of the Woolen sector in the north East. 50 stalls were put up by participants from Kashmir, Nagaland, Manipur, Assam and Meghalaya.
