NDFB(S) linkman arrested

A NDFB(S) linkman was apprehended by Kokrajhar police during search operation from Shilbazi area under Gossaigaon PS today in Kokrajhar district.

Based on specific input, an operation was launched by Kokrajhar police led by SDPO Gossaigaon at Shilbazi area where a NDFB(S) linkman was apprehended. He was identified as Satya Basumatary.

Cash 50,000 has been recovered from his possession. The accused person was supposed to hand over the cash to the cash and ration – starved NDFB – S cadres. This operation clinically executed by Kokrajhar police is a severe setback to the morale of NDFB-S militant outfit.

In another operation, a total of six numbers of smuggled logs were recovered from Bhodeyaguri area under Gossaigaon PS. The logs have been handed over to forest department for further legal action.

Footballer Apurna Narzary to receive Emerging Player award in Bodoland Territorial Region

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). BTR Peace Accord Day celebrated

On Friday, the government of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) observed the third BTR Peace Accord Day as "Day of Peace" on Friday.  A massive bike peace rally was held in Kokrajhar, the "City of Peace." Three individuals, including former MLA and senior BPF (Bodoland People's Front) leader Hitesh Basumatary, were arrested by police in Baksa district after a search operation at Basumatary's residential complex resulted in the recovery of a large cache of illegal arms and ammunition. ISPL 2022: Bodoland lifts trophy

Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) team won the trophy defeating Lai Autonomous Council (LADC) of Mizoram 1-0 in the final match of inter sixth schedule premier league -2022 being held at SAI SAG center,Kathalguri Titaguri in Kokrajhar district.
