voter awareness campaign failed to make impact on Dr.Manmohan Singh, Prim Minister of India, as he did not cast vote here. What do you expect from general public? Though he later on said that he has casted vote throuh Postal Ballot, he had to give the explanation due to report in the media fearing criticism- one feel.

State TMC dead opposed to delimitation draft

The TMC Assam unit has opposed the draft delimitation proposal published by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday evening. The proposal is prepared based on the 2001 census, which the TMC claims is not correct as there has been a change in the population pattern in the state. Seven Engineering Students Died in Accident at Jalukbari

In a tragic road accident that occurred in the Jalukbari area of Guwahati seven engineering students died at spot last night. According to reports, a group of 10 Assam Engineering College (AEC) students traveled in a scorpio car.
